Hotline Miami Close To Release On The PSN, Has New Added Features

True story: Ben, our web design guy, was playing Hotline Miami on the train last week and the woman sitting next to him openly ‘tutted‘ at the game’s violence. I guess it is a violent game to be playing in public — but an actual tut! A tut? Anyway, this intro is an attempt to lead into the fact that the PSN version of Hotline Miami is seemingly close to release and it’s actually the kind of game I hope to play on the train on my PS Vita. As long as I’m not sitting next to the ‘tutting’ lady.

And it looks as though the PSN version is getting some pretty exciting updates. One of these updates is a lock on feature that will make it easier to target specific enemies. Another is crossplay support between the PS3 and PSN alongside a new co-operative mode which will allow players on the PS Vita and the PS3 to play together.

I spent a fair amount of time with Hotline Miami on the PC, but its frenetic pacing always seemed more suited to handhelds. I’m quite excited about using my Vita for the first time in a while to play through this game another time.
