Why go to a gaming convention when you can go to a gaming convention dressed up as your favourite video game character? Good question.
Today was the first day of PAX East in Boston, and several of our east coast-crew were on hand to cover the show. In between game demos and the Super Exciting Kotaku Panel, they managed to snag some photos of the cosplayers who were walking the show floor. Enjoy:

If you’re cosplaying at PAX tomorrow and you see someone from Kotaku walking around with a camera, grab ’em and say hi.
And to all who cosplay: We salute you. Especially you, Sexy Layton.

Not a bad Lucca
That King Hippo. What a guy.
Hey Kotaku, on the off chance you might be after some Australian content, there is currently the Supanova expo happening in Melbourne this weekend – perhaps you can show some of the cosplay from there? I know its a lot of effort to get one of your Melbourne people to get there with a digital camera and take some pictures (and claim the whole thing as a tax write off) but, you know, just a suggestion
Are these photos taken with a phone camera or something? Why do they suck so bad?
