So obviously there are a ton of games coming out during the remainder of 2015, but I thought I’d poll you on a couple of the big hitters. What games are you most looking forward to?
Obviously this is just a short list of interesting, popular games. Other choices? Just drop them in the comments below.
For me? At the moment it’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain closely followed by Halo 5. God, but there are so many others…

Xenoblade Chronicles X
Metal gear solid the phantom transactions!
Just Cause 3!
YESS!!! I did forget this is coming out. Can’t wait ^_^
Ahhhh keep forgetting this is coming out this year… currently have 3 games on preorder (Destiny TTK.. yeah yeah I know, Halo 5 and Fallout 4) and thought that would be it for games for the rest of the year for me, but I’ll be gettin JC3 for sure.
I almost clicked on Fallout 4, but if there’s anything that Batman Arkham Knight taught me it’s that you should never count out nostalgia. Star Wars Battlefront; Don’t let me down!
I had the same discussion in reverse hahaha. Not sure on battlefront yet after how much of a disappointment I found BF4 to be.
I read that as “you should never count on nostalgia” and was confused by your pick. I never played the original Battlefront(s?), I’ve heard it compared unfavourably with Battlefield. Any truth to that?
I wasn’t really clear on why ‘Nostalgically’ I chose Star Wars, sorry about that.
I picked it for the sheer fact as a child I spent countless hours recreating the death star trench run and Death Star II battle. I happened to really liked Star Wars Battlefront, whilst the AI wasn’t great at times the whole music score, the locales and the vehicles made you feel like you were playing a genuine Star Wars game.
That being said, I know quite a few people have not liked Battlefield 3 and 4, when I liked them both; which means I might not be the best person to ask 😛
mad max as its out next week, but THEN SWBF
Episode 5 of Life is Strange and Tales from the Borderlands.
I drew a calendar and stuck it on my desk at work so I could cross off the days until MGSV.
It’s messed up, man.
Phantom pain
Fallout4
Mariomaker
Justcause3
Deus ex mankind divided
Deus Ex = 2016
Correct. I’m just listing them all.
Besides, from memory it’s a january release, so it’s a fine line.
Persona 4 Dancing All Night
Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX
Xcom 2!
Fallout 4
Star Wars Battlefront
This list right here!
Had to be MG, although F4 is close on it’s heels.
I don’t see how so many people could be so excited for F4 over MGSV. Go back and play Fallout 3, its really good but its also very bleh gameplay wise.
I’m the opposite; simply cannot see what people see in Metal Gear games. Fallout 4 though, can’t wait!
Damn you Bizzaro World!
Mad Max
Im insanely excited for this game
MGSV: PP is the only one on the list I’m interested in, but my most looked forward to game right at this very moment is Disgaea 5. XCOM 2 is slowly building its hype meter as well as Etrian Mystery Dungeon.
Mario Maker is the only one of them I’m even vaguely interested in, and even then I’m not hyped or anything.
I think I must’ve fallen off the hype train a few years back 🙁
Nahhh I’m the same, these just arent really my thing. If anything it would be Wii U Fatal Frame. Just waiting patiently for Fire Emblem and Ace Attorney news :'(
Fallout 4! Fallout 3/New Vegas were among my best gaming experiences of the last ten years.
Shame Halo 4 turned me off Halo else it might be Halo 5. Mass Effect: Andromeda is also too far away to get hype about for now.
Everyone I know loved Halo 4 when it came out, but I thought it was total rubbish. Definitely not looking forward to 5.
MGSV, Fallout 4, Star Wars: Battlefront, Just Cause 3 and Hitman are the games on my horizon.
Maybe Mad Max, i’ll wait for review scores and when it comes on sale on GMG, also i have taken a huge gamble on SW:B, i pre-ordered but somehow it’s going to be disappointing.
Though it hasn’t been announced yet, I’m very excited for Metal Gear Solid 7: Stealth In App Purchase: A Peter Molyneux Game
Don’t be silly. We all know MGS-7 will be a pachinko machine.
Fallout 4 and Binding of Isaac Afterbirth.
Xcom 2
Probably Mario Maker, I can’t see myself having the time to build anything but I’m keen to see and play all the wacky shit that will most likely come of it.
Fallout 4, Phantom Pain and finally getting internet installed at my new house after waiting (possibly) several months for someone to move out of my suburb.
Fuck day one patches
Fuck Caroline Springs’ borderline third-world internet exchange.
I share your pain………….
I must admit the one that really caught my imagination is Fire Watch.
At least 3 on that list are on my must buy ASAP.
Can’t wait for MGS V next week.
After that, Battlefront and Fallout 4 are next on the list.
Satellite Reign, the Syndicate type game.
I am so keen to get into that world again.
Of the choices, I’ve probably got to say Destiny. Fallout never really grabbed me (though I’ll still try F4 – it looks more interesting than 3 or NV); insta-fail stealth was never my thing; Battlefront has no single player. I would be excited for Halo 5, but don’t have an Xbone, and not sure I like where 343’s going with the series.
Outside of that selection, tho… Anno 2205 and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst are at the top of my list.
Rise of the Tomb Raider… although I’m PS4/PC so I have to wait a bit.
Xcom 2… that’s for goddamn sure. But I clicked FO4
Me too ! 🙂 Could not decide so I went with the one being released sooner.
Fallout 4 is my jam – but I’m looking forward too all listed (except Mario maker) and I’m still deciding whether I want to get back into Taken King. MGSV looks amazing balls, Halo 5, even Mad Max…my poor, poor ever-growing backlog.
Ah yes… the taken king. One day I want it, the next day i’m like “f*ck that game, i’m never playing it again” 😛
From the list, Fallout 4. Got a couple of days leave booked for it.
Also, No Man’s Sky. It might end end up being boring or just bad, but but the premise excites me!
No one is looking forward to the never-to-be-finished Star Citizen?
Also super-keen for the reboot of Master of Orion and Descent.
In terms of stuff coming out on the near future, I am so freaking pumped for Battlefront.
I am so ridiculously ready for Halo 5.
F4 and then closely followed by Battlefront and Just Cause 3… nothing can beat my excitment for Fallout though 🙂
No Man’s Sky
Halo 5 Rise Of The Tomb Raider
As it is every year, the newest NBA2K. The offseason of the NBA season just makes the wait that much worse! Most anticipated on that list though would have to be Fallout 4 and also keen to see how Halo 5 goes.
Had to choose Mario Maker by default.
Actually would have chosen Star Fox Zero. Unbelievable levels of hype.
Firewatch.
And from this list, Fallout 4, although I am super excited for MGS V too. I know stores just got their physical stock of this, so here’s hoping someone breaks street date and we can play it at the weekend!
No Dark Souls 3? Or Bloodborne expansion? 🙁
EDIT: Sorry, just saw “The remainder of 2015”, so I guess I’ll have to go with Fallout.
Halo 5 is the only thing on that poll that I’m even remotely interested in, and I wouldn’t say I’m particularly looking forward to it, it’s just something I’ll buy and play for a bit.
I don’t usually buy games when they’re new, but I’m interested to see how No Man’s Sky turns out. Purchase will depend on reviews and hardware requirements.
Whatevs guys….FALLOUT 4 ! OMG! *faints*
Forza 6. Followed very closely by MGSV.
Fallout4 followed by Mad Max
HL3
Keeeep dreaming
I have no idea how I’m going to choose which to play first out of xcom 2, battlefront and fallout 4
Fallout 4 by a WIDE margin for me. I’ve always been a MGS fan, but V just hasn’t captured my imagination in the same way as some of the older one’s have, specifically MGS 3 (which was the pinnacle of the series for me). I’m not anticipating that MGS V will knock it off that spot either, especially with the reviews mentioning the lack of story (open world can never make up for that).
In my mind, the level of excitement for both Mad Max and MGS V are on roughly equal footing, coming in a relatively distant second place after Fallout 4. I have a feeling that I am going to invest a lot of time running around post apocalyptic Boston, crafting different types of guns and armour, finding all the nooks and crannies. Haven’t been this excited for a game in a LONG time.
As far as Star Wars Battlefront goes? I’ve dabbled in some multiplayer gaming in my time, and some franchises clicked with me a little more than others (Modern Warfare 2 was the last great multiplayer experience for me). The last game I bought for multiplayer was Battlefield 3, and it was OK … but if I wanted to play that now, I’d be lucky to find just one server that’s maybe half full that plays nothing but the same map over and over. That’s probably not too far removed for the likes of Battlefield 4 and Hardline as well, especially when Star Wars gets released. I’m not interested in spending money on a game that practically won’t exist when Activision or EA comes along with another annual installment. I’m over those money milking machines.
Mario Maker and Mad Max are on this list but not XCOM 2? The hell, guy?
Dishonored 2!!!
Hitman, MGS V, Battlefront, in that order
