Well, January is hardly a hit-bed for new releases but you usually get a couple of good ones — the games that just missed their Christmas release date. That doesn’t seem to be the case this year. Good thing you’ve got that backlog to work through right?
A Boy and His Blob (PC)
What is it? It’s that Boy/Blob revival that came out on the Wii… absolutely yonks ago. Really shocked to see this releasing on PC.
Should you care? This game was good on the Wii. However, that was a long time ago. On the Wii.
Attractio (PC)
What is it? One person described it as Running Man meets Portal, which is about as powerful a pitch as I can remember.
Should you care? This actually looks very polished. Might be worth checking out.
Bit Blaster XL (PC)
What is it? A (proper) old-school shooter, like a top down space-shooter.
Should you care? It actually looks really cool. It’s gotten great early reviews and seems smooth, fun and unique.
Gemini: Heroes Reborn (PC)
What is it? A first-person adventure thing about super heroes and super powers and… INTRIGUE.
Should you care? Seems decent enough. I know very little about it.
Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak (PC)
What is it? This is a prequel to the Homeworld games — a ground-based RTS.
Should you care? Looks good. Nice art and stuff. I’m not really a Homeworld fan so maybe I’m the wrong person to ask!
Life Is Strange: Limited Edition (Xbox One/PS4/PC)
What is it? It’s Life Is Strange. In stores. Already on your console.
Should you care? You’ve probably made your own mind up about this. Some people think it was 2015’s game of the year.
Pokemon Rumble World (3DS)
What is it? It’s another Pokemon game on the 3DS.
Should you care? There sure are a lot of Pokemon games on the 3DS.
Resident Evil Origins Collection (Xbox One/PS4)
What is it? It’s a bundle with a loads of remastered Resident Evil games on it.
Should you care? Sure, why not.
Six Sides of the World (PC)
What is it? A puzzle game about spatial orientation. Looks like a mind-bender.
Should you care? Seems interesting. I like puzzle games and this seems pretty unique.
The Deadly Tower of Monsters (PC)
What is it? It’s a tongue-in-cheek action adventure game.
Should you care? This is my first time hearing about it, but it has a mainstream publisher. So it can’t be that bad, right?
Did we miss anything? We probably did, didn’t we? Let us know by complaining loudly in the comments below!

Also out this week:
Inside My Radio (PS4)
Atelier Escha and Logy Plus (Vita)
Dark Cloud 2 (PS4)
Hmmmm, $39.95 for the PC version of Life Is Strange: Limited Edition? I’d be willing to pay a good chunk of that just for the soundtrack sooooo… Yep.
When will this drought end?! I’m so bored I want to cry! Hurry up far cry and dark souls
Didn’t rumble world come out several months ago?
This is the retail version. It gets rid of all those microtransactions and just turns it into a full game.
LIfe Is Strange… at last, it shall be mine.
Pretty sure a Boy and his Blob is also coming out on Xbone/PS4 also
Did you say a new Homeworld game…

Man, Capcom really whips the sh*t out of the RE franchise don’t they?
It’s amazing to think that they haven’t made a really good one in over a decade (RE 4 on the GC) yet they still manage to release so many games. How many different ways can you buy the original game now?
Wait a minute didnt Pokemon rumble world already get released some time last year or something. I remember playing a similar game.
