The Nintendo Switch shown in the console’s debut trailer is grey. This being Nintendo, though, you can be sure that other shades and variations will be coming.
TheGrumpyCat decided to get out ahead of Nintendo’s marketing and mock up a range of Switches. White ones, red ones, there are even Famicom and NES variants, throwback designs that Nintendo often returns to a few years down the line when trying to wring some more cash out of their biggest fans.
Most are pretty nice! But if Nintendo really wants to make some money, they will release that yellow one…

I like the orange
Like a lot of tech devices, having your team colors as an option is always a simple way of getting noticed. Phones have been doing it with cases for years, no reason you couldnt do skins for this as well.
Locally, do a branding exercise with NRL or AFL, in the US use just about any major sport, and Japan has any number of options from sports to corporate that would work.
Certainly not a new idea that Nintendo has never explored before.
I bought it because it was cheap and I don’t care (like $50 cheaper than any other variant) but my Gameboy Advance SP has the New Zealand All Blacks logo on it.
My guess as to why it was 25% cheaper is that I got it in Australia and unlike me some people actually care and wouldn’t buy it? XD
I think I had some cuddly toys that look some of those. Pound Puppies or similar.

If they happen to come out with one in kiwi green (like the gameboy colour) I’d buy one in a heartbeat. I’m a big sucker for that particular shade of green.
