Nintendo has yet to release the official hardware specifications for the Wii U, and it’s something Gearbox’s Brian Burleson, senior producer on Aliens: Colonial Marines, won’t discuss directly. But, he said to Eurogamer, the Wii U will get the best-looking version of the game because it has “more modern tech”.
If there’s one thing you can say to me to make a first-person shooter experience sound more exciting, it’s that it’s not a modern military shooter. In the case of Aliens: Colonial Marines — out this spring for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC — that involves having different classes of aliens with acid-burning blood fighting against a group of marines.
Aliens: Colonial Marines may have suffered a slight delay, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy this new trailer, even if it shows next to no actual gameplay!

In February 2008 I went to Gearbox in Texas to have an early first look at Aliens: Colonial Marines. Today, almost four years later, the game is scheduled for release at some point in 2012. We’ve seen this Aliens: Colonial Marines demonstration twice now: Crecente caught it at E3 and I saw it at Gamescom. We both walked away rather impressed. Now you can see how you walk away.
In this lengthy video of Sega’s Aliens: Colonial Marines, Gearbox head Randy Pitchford walks us through some new gameplay for the upcoming game.
