Junglist is here again to give you a sneak preview of tonight’s episode of Good Game.

This week promises to span the full spectrum of gaming land, from games that suck, to games that blow.

Puzzle Quest: Galactrix – Puzzle Quest was a little plugger of a casual game that had trouble starting out, but ended up taking on the world in fantastic form. Now finally we have its sequel, and it has some big shoes to fill. Watch Good Game to see if it can maintain that wonderful brand of addictive, accessible gameplay.

Flower – From the makers of Flow, this game really blows. More of an “experience”, than a game really. Soothe yourself by floating around bringing life to a barren landscape.

GTAIV: The Lost and Damned – The uncensored, 360 exclusive downloadable content that adds a single-player mini-campaign and some new multiplayer game modes.

All that plus a look at gaming’s best companion characters over the years, and we talk to the experts about how to preserve your old game consoles & cartridges, to keep them at their playing best.

You can download Good Game at www.abc.net.au/goodgame – Good Game airs on Monday nights at 8:30pm on ABC2, and every Friday night on ABC1, after jjj TV.

Enjoy the show!

  • Thanks for the update DW. I have to admit that when I first started watching “Good Game” I wasn’t too keen on it but after being able to watch it unmetered on iView its really grown on me and I’m looking forward to heading home tonight to check out the new stuff =)

  • I’ve tried liking Good Game TV, I really have. I don’t know if it’s the same reason I disliked Top Gear Australia, or cultural cringe or what, but I just cannot get into this show. Sorry guys.

Maybe it’s because I’m a grumpy old bastard and I’d rather watch X-Play and Zero Punctuation.

  • I hear where you’re coming from Donar, especially in regards to TGA. I find I start to link certain cultures/accents to certain shows. American accent to games and British to top gear/cars is definitely one of them. Whenever I watch an aussie car show (other than that of TGA) i feel the same haha.

Oh well, maybe we’re all grumpy bastards but I’m still enjoying Good Game so far (I only started this season I didn’t get lured by the earlier ones)

  • I’m also with you Donar, and for me it’s simply becuase it comes across as stupid rather than funny or intelligent. It seems like it can’t decide if it’s aimed at younger audience, or an older one. I applaud it for being the first Australian TV show dedicated to video games, but I’ll stick to online resources for my gaming news (oh and I’m a ZP fan as well but watched the pilot for the games TV show he did and thought that missed the mark as well…so I must be a grumpier old bastard).
