It appears we like, but don’t love, cricket.

The PS3 version of Codemasters’ Ashes Cricket 2009 debuts at #4. But despite riding on the wave of our first win in the series last week, it fails to dislodge Nintendo’s top order batsmen.

Expect to see the 360 version appear next week, after its release was mysteriously delayed one week. Now, if only that Wii version had been released on time… I reckon it might have had the best chance of knocking Wii Sports Resort off the top.

it’s ok David, despite Modern Warfare 2 (and a handful of others), Wii Sports Resort will probably sit up there for the rest of the year… so it might still have that chance…

  • Think I’m one of the few Wii owners who has blatently ignored Sports Resort. Heck, my Wii’s been somewhat neglected lately.

  • Look, sports resort is a great game, proably deserves to be on top atm. I am just starting to play Ashes on PC, and it rocks. I think it will creep up on the charts, as word of mouth might entice some people in. It is heaps better than Ponting 07, which may have left a bad taste in some gamers mouths, have a go, it’s good.
