Stories Of The Year #9: Why Do Games Cost So Much?

It’s the last week of the year, so we’ve decided to go into the Kotaku backlogs and pick out the most popular stories of 2010. Some are interesting, some are funny, some are flat out stupid.

Personally this was a story I wanted to write from the day I started here at Kotaku, and it was probably one of the most difficult to get going. No-one in Australia would touch the topic with a barge pole. Eventually I had to go outside of the games industry to find someone interested in the topic, and the feature just flowed from there!

I’m pretty proud of this one, and I’m glad that you guys enjoyed it too. Hopefully we’ll be able to find new ways to cover and look at this growing issue in 2011.
