The first gameplay trailer for Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters is here, with Hal Jordan showing off some very God of War-like maneuvers. Is this how you’d fight if you had a ring that could create anything?

Innovation only happens once… Then it’s copied to death till something old becomes new and innovative again
Hope you’re not referring to his attacks as Green Lanterns(not just him) use weapons they know typically from their homeland/world. So I saw pistons, jets, swords, hammers & flail type weapons. Yep that seems perfectly legit to me considering he’s a earthling and those weapons are from…you know…Earth… Go try to be obnoxious else where.
I believe he is referring to the gameplay, which is very derivative of the God of War series. Nothing to do with the weapons, and it seems you have come off as being obnoxious by making such a comment, I see nothing wrong with Karl’s comment.
I’m not sure if I would award GoW with the innovation though, surely there have been other similar games previously? I think GoW probably just put existing ideas in a neat and polished package, which is still no small feat.
I’m not sure how much I would like forward to this though, movie tie-in games have a horrible history.
i wouldnt be suprised if its another GoW formula knock off, the only way i can see the game working actually
