I’m a self-confessed Metal Gear Solid fanboy and, considering the fact that Metal Gear Solid 3 is my favourite game in the series, I’m a bit angry I didn’t spot this sooner. Kojima has been a little Twitter friendly as of late – and has posted this pic of Metal Gear Solid 3 for the 3DS in action.
Nothing has really been shown on this remake since the E3 demo last year, which was really just a 3D video segment. I had slight worries that the game would be a more linear, cinematic version of the game, ala the iPhone version of MGS4, so I’m relieved to see that the 3DS version looks like it’s a faithful port.

Over and above Ocarina of Time, which I’ve played to death in numerous different formats, I’m extremely excited about this remake – mainly because I’m ready to play it again. It’s been a while.
There’s also the fact that Metal Gear Solid is one of the greatest games ever made by man or beast.
