Japan Has Over 7000 Pikachu TV Remotes

In Japan, all sorts of Pokémon products exist. There are Pokémon bedsheets, Pokémon toothbrushes, Pokémon noodles — you name it!

And there is now a Pikachu TV remote control. There might have already been one (I wouldn’t put it past Pokémon), but I’ve never seen one.

This isn’t for sale, though. It’s a part of a promotion for TV Tokyo, which is channel 7. The Pokémon anime starts at 7pm. Pressing the number 7 button causes it to say “Pikachu”.

That’s why TV Tokyo is giving away 7777 remotes to lucky viewers.

Those hoping to win one can register though TV Tokyo’s official site later this month.
