News Just In: Chicks Dig Nintendo Employees

If you're a man in the Western world, your best chance of being a complete chick magnet, job wise, is becoming a Doctor, or an Architect or something -- maybe a highly payed actor or sports star? In Japan girls apparently get excited about men who work for Nintendo.

In a recent study by Riskmonster and RJC Research, Nintendo managed to top a list of companies that Japanese students would like their future husbands to work for. Equally as incredibly, Sony managed to come in second.

In fact tech companies completely dominated the list, with Sharp, Toshiba, NTT Docomo and Panasonic all making the top 10.

1 Nintendo 2 Sony 3 Toyota Motor 3 Sharp 5 Toshiba 6 NTT Docomo 6 Toto 8 Rakuten 9 NEC 9 Panasonic

Apparently the major reason the female students chose these companies were that they provided a "steady job," "future prospects," and "pay is good."

    Japanese chicks also dig tentacles.

    Nah, just joshin'. Kinda.

    Nintendo got game
looking slick to get the chicks
    she'll love you long time

    Mildly racist and/or sexist epithet.

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

        It does.

An adjective or descriptive phrase expressing a quality regarded as characteristic of the person or thing mentioned.

Such a word or phrase as a term of abuse.

So which word or phrase is the epithet?

A good example of an epithet is "the Great" as in "Alexander the Great".

Nothing in the article is being used in that sense; maybe the word "Western" in the first paragraph. However, since it doesn't talk about "Reggie Fils-Aime the Westerner", that can't be it.

It seems you're using a much more contemporary meaning of the word, to apply to abusive/defamatory phrases and the like. The only part of the article that might fall into that category seems to be at the end - where key desires are listed. But these are in quotes, so either they're being used satirically or they're actual quotes from the "recent study by Riskmonster and RJC Research" (that's a quote).

It seems a bit racist or sexist to assume that Japanese women *can't* desire a partner with prospects for the future and a well-paying steady job.

Of course, I could be wrong. I've read the article through a few times now and I can't seem to work out what you were talking about, so if you could point it out, that'd be great.

Damn, we didn't make the list this year.

the actual reason they go for nintendo employees is because they know they have a steady supply of LSD/Cocaine. How else would they come up with some of their crazy games. starfox is a perfect example
