Halo Beatdown Is So Darn Danceable

“Video game remixes” are becoming quite the thing these days — not to be confused with video game soundtrack remixes, video game remixes are when a musician takes the sound effects of a game and combines them into something musical.

This Halo one is particularly neat — created by FlashBangMusic, it uses some of the most iconic Halo sound effects to create a thudding dubstep-ish tune.

The snare drum? Why, that’s a slightly tweaked beatdown sound effect. The synth? It’s taken from the Halo 3 score. The brute spiker, grav hammer and many other sound effects all get featured as well.

I mean, Master Chief is willing to dance to it. So shouldn’t we all be?
