The weekend. It’s over. We have to accept this. But never mind, this week is E3 week! Hurray, I get to stay up really late watching livestreams. Awesome! (I’m only being 50% sarcastic).
What happened overnight? Nintendo stuff, that’s what. Well, technically it happened just under an hour ago, but I’ll wager this’ll be all anyone is talking about until E3 starts properly late tonight.
The main thing is Nintendo’s online community plans — basically it’s building its own complete thing. There’s also a new feature called the Miiverse. And a new ‘hardcore’ Wii U controller.
It seems as though folks are responding well to this, but part of me wonders if this is Nintendo playing catch-up. I much prefer it when Nintendo leads the way. That’s probably just me.
This is pretty big news, and people seem to have completely overlooked it… Gamestop is selling PSN downloadables in Australia and Europe. There could be some interesting consequences from this.
And of course — you should read the Sunday comics… on Monday.
