Community Kudos

Hear ye hear ye. It’s Friday afternoon and that means it’s time for Community Kudos.

It’s been a relatively quiet week, I’m guessing because people were distracted by actual video game news. It was a busy week in news, which tends to result in a lot discussion going on outside the normal community outlets.

But there were noms. Always there are noms.

Remember Tobias Funke. Of course you do. In fact, no ‘remembering’ required; poor choice of word from me. But I say ‘remember’ because a while back he frequented a couple of Community Kudos posts for making it his life ambition to received Community Kudos. I was reminded of this because her royal highness Strange sent in noms for the man.

Strange
I’m nominating Tobias Funke for Kudos. He seems like a thoughtful kind of guy.

Also, honourable mention for Freeze S. Preston, Icequire because he’s making a lot of people very happy recently.

And how about that Freeze guy huh? I suspect there were plenty of TAYbies from the Queensland Charter involved in this, so feel free to name and shame yourself in the comments…

Welbot
I have a bit of a problem this week. (over and above my usual bullshit 😉 I was informed yesterday by Freeze S Preston, that a bunch of taybies pooled resources to buy me a ticket to dreamworld for the next meat!

Blown away totally. Really wasn’t expecting that at all. Will be good to see everyone again, but can’t help but feel a little shameful :

Anyway, that aside, the problem is I don’t know who to nom really. Freeze delivered the news and I’m sure had a hand in organizing it, but the kudos must go further than that!

So I guess I’ll nom Freeze and anyone else down the line who pitched in for that little gem!

This Freeze guy! He’s off the richter this guy with his do-gooding exploits…

Scree
I forgot to do noms for a long time so I have forgotten a lot of the noms I had for people so due to my crappy memory, everyone gets a nom!

Special noms to Freeze for helping me fix up a power point face plate o/ and Shane for giving me his leftover ram, allowing me to use photoshop again o/

i have some anti noms too. Anyone who posts a “what does this article have to do with gaming?” gets an anti nom from me. If they don’t like it, they don’t have to click on it. I enjoy some of the other articles myself.

Seriously. Thanks Scree.

Slightly off topic — but not too off topic — Jimu Hsien correctly guessed todays’s ScribbleTaku. I told him on Twitter and he got a little bit excited…

He also dropped some noms for Kotaku’s resident Perry Mason, McGarnical.

Jimu
Gonna have to go ahead and vote for McGarnigal again, cos he sent me a sweet, sweet copy of the rare, rare Cave Story 3D for the 3DS.

Try as I might, he doesn’t seem to accept my offers for a swap. But I have his address now, MWA HAH HA HAAAH!!!

BE AFRAID MCGARNIGAL. BE VERY AFRAID.

I also had a nom from Mawt, for Greenius. Only Greenius now has a new name.

Mawt
Muchos Nomos to Greenius for being Helpius. I’ve asked a few questions recently and he’s not only given a helpful response but he’s put it on both TAY and Twitter to make sure I see it.

Helpius. That’s a great name. Hey Greenius. That’s your new name. I’m changing it by deed poll.

Did you get a load of these neeeerrrrrrds? Last nom of the week goes to Trjn from Zap!

It was for this mega comment, which was about Magic: The Gathering. I’m totally ignorant about this game. The Magic guys even sent me a package of all these cards because I was whinging about how I was too dumb to understand it. They’re still sitting on my desk. Unopened. Unloved.

But yeah — good comment! I heard on the Kotaku grapevine that Trjn is helping out fellow TAYbie Freyjr move apartments. What a guy! Good luck and don’t hurt your back. Remember: lift from the knees.

OH WAIT! STOP PRESS NOMS!

Hope this isnt too late.

Noms:

Strange
Zap
Ash
Ruffleberg
Effluvium Boy

For various reasons.

Cheers,

35.

[END COMMUNICATION]
