What better way to celebrate the launch of a Mortal Kombat web series than to film a battle between combatants Scorpion and Noob Saibot, complete with nifty special effects and gory fatality?
The fight naturally has its ebbs and flows, though I reckon Scorpion has the upper-hand for most of the bout. There are laughs to be had too; the clip doesn’t take itself seriously and anyone who’s forgotten how to execute a move mid-fight will utter a consolatory groan around the 49-second mark.
The action occupies about a minute and 30 seconds, though keep watching past the credits for an unusually sad moment of guilt from everyone’s favourite javelin-throwing undead ninja.
I found the music, entitled “Savant — Fatality”, got a bit grating after a while, but if you’d like to download it, you can grab it free from SoundCloud.
