Slick New Zelda: Link Between Worlds Trailer Introduces ‘Lorule’

It’s not Hyrule — it’s Lorule. Get it? That’s the twisted new dark world that Nintendo will introduce in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, which is out for 3DS on November 22.

Check out this sleek new trailer for an introduction to Lorule… and someone named Hilda?

It’s unclear how Lorule is related to the Dark World from Link to the Past, the Super Nintendo predecessor to Link Between Worlds, but it seems like a totally different place.

Nintendo also shared a bunch of images from their panel at Comic Con in New York City today:

  • Game looks pretty cool. A shame they are still playing the Zelda games ‘safe’. Also, very tired of the Zelda Overworld theme…

    • This is the first time in a long time that they aren’t playing it as “safe”. Check out the news regarding items and how you progress through dungeons. I’m super excited if they keep pushing these changes forward into the next console Zelda.

  • Wait, wait, wait, wait a minute.
Hilda. Hilda and Zelda as in Hilda Spellman and Zelda Spellman from Sabrina The Teenage Witch?
    We must go deeper…
