Man, it didn’t take that Batguy fella long to guess yesterday’s HaiTaku, did it? (It was Rainbow Islands.) That guy has a PhD in guessing stuff. He also has an actual PhD.
Today’s effort comes from xinoea! I think it’s hard. Your mileage may vary.
Hexagonal Field
Those damn Forts keep blocking me
Have to get a Knight
Good luck everyone!
This is HaiTaku. We write Haikus about old video games and leave it you to guess what game we’re talking about. If you want to submit a Haiku feel free. Send it here!

Civ V
Dammit that was my guess.
Ooooh
Maybe my first right guess….. well, right and first to post it :oD
That was my guess too! But only after I’d already accidentally read it and said, “Yeah, that totally makes sense.”
I’d guess Civilization but… I haven’t played it 🙁
Cities and Knights – the Settlers of Catan game including the expansion of the same name.
Once again I see
The haiku refers to The
(one and only) Dig
Just in case, I think
I should put up a guess for
Resonance of Fate
Is that because it’s the first game with a 5 syllable name that you thought of?
I’m pretty sure hexagons feature in it. And a tower/fort of some kind. And it’s a JRPG, so there’s bound to be a knight.
Hmm. You make a compelling argument.
3 player chess?
I will say Defender of the Crown, just to be different (and probably wrong).
Super Hexagon. Because.
Warcraft, or Warcraft II?
No hexes in there my friend
and being blocked by forts seems… unlikely
Kings Bounty?
or Heroes of Might and Magic.
I dunno, I think Civilisation is the obvious choice. I’m a go with Total War Battles
I’m thinking heroes of might and magic?
Biker Mice from Mars!
Settlers of Catan?
I think so too.
That’s where my thoughts went.
It might be Castles 2:Siege and Conquest, if you think of France as a hexagonal field.
All of these guesses
No-one has gotten it right
Someone should get it
Rampart
Archon 1 or 2
King’s Bounty
Hex
