They Couldn’t Make Star Wars 1313, So They Made This Strategy Game Instead

What do you do when the beloved video game studio you worked at gets closed down? You get to work on that side-scrolling ancient Rome strategy game you’ve always wanted to do. And not just any side-scrolling ancient Rome strategy game. Super Roman Conquest has a pretty clever twist that’ll change how you look at it.

War is complicated. It doesn’t happen in just two dimensions. Sometimes, you need to send your retro-styled Roman warriors all the way over there — deeper into the screen — to kick some butt. Super Roman Conquest lets you do exactly that. The upcoming game is being made by SeaCliff Interactive, a bunch of guys who’d been working on Star Wars 1313 and Star Wars: First Assault before the unfortunate shutdown of LucasArts. Head on over to their Kickstarter page to find out more about the game.
