This is Perish. It's being made by one man — Aussie Anthony Richard — and is described as "a procedural Action-RPG / roguelike-like. Dark Souls meets Spelunky".

Seeking to carry on with Dark Souls' "deadly and deliberate" combat, Perish has permadeath and a damn tasty art style. Being built in Unity, it's due out later this year on PC, Mac and Linux.

It's looking for funding on Indiegogo.

    It's beautiful but I was worried he wasn't showing much combat - what he did show was slow and awkward. I really hope this isn't the case because this is something I'd love to play.

      Dark Souls combat looks slow and awkward and even feels slow and awkward at first.
