China Rino, a visual studio based in Singapore, was founded by Eduardo Peña, one of the best artists we’ve ever had the pleasure of showcasing here on Fine Art.
In addition to providing art and new IP ideas for both games and Hollywood (they have worked on The Hobbit and Transcendence), Chino Rino also run a school that’s hoping to act as a conduit between Western and Eastern artists and developers.
Below is a gallery highlighting some of their work. You can see more at the company’s site.
To see the larger pics in all their glory (or, if they’re big enough, so you can save them as wallpaper), click on the “expand” button in the bottom-right corner.
Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios. If you’re in the business and have some concept, environment, promotional or character art you’d like to share, drop us a line!

I always thought it was due to the way the aliens researched our planet before landing. You only have to view a bit of news and other media to learn that America is the centre of the world right now… And is the largest threat to an invasion, kill them and a lot of the world loses it’s strength.
What does the Joker have to do with aliens?
Also, with the way America talks about themselves, they’ll be the first to get taken down, even just as a way to knock down morality.
If by “always” you’re clearly forgetting Pacific Rim, Godzilla, Aliens… maybe, just maybe, aliens hate Americans too.
District 7 too. One of the big reasons I loved that movie was not only did it not take place in America, but it wasn’t any sort of fully developed westernised country.
District 9?
District 7? The hunger games? Or district 9?
If district 9 I’m sure the people of Johannesburg would have something to say about being called not fully developed.
It’s a fairly sensible place to invade, really.
You’re pretty safe from being nuked. The US is unlikely to nuke itself, and the threat of retaliation means other countries will probably leave you alone.
Munitions like cluster bombs and land mines are unlikely to be deployed against you because while the USA is fine with dropping a permanent legacy of accidental death on other countries, it’s unlikely to do so locally due to legal threats.
There is the problem of the population being well-armed, but if you manage to destabilise the Government enough the survivalist minority will take care of the rest for you.
Actually one thing I’ve noticed over the years is that in the average alien invasion story, once the problem is solved in the continental USA, it’s treated as solved everywhere. Maybe the aliens just want a straw man for the Americans to fight so they can take over the rest of the world largely unopposed.
P.S. Nah, I’m not cynical about the US. They’re the world’s saviours – they keep telling us so.
Independence day springs to mind.
