Watch Us Play The First DS Game On Wii U Virtual Console

One of the coolest features of the Wii U gamepad is that allows for the possibility of playing DS games that require a touch screen. So now that Nintendo has released its first virtual console DS game, Brain Age, let’s see how it all works out.

Check out the video above to see it in action.

Brain Age was released on the Wii U virtual console on 3 June 2014, in Japan. There is currently no word on a Western release.

  • wouldnt it make more sense to have the top screen on the tv, and the bottom screen on the gamepad?. and have the side by side layout used as an alternative option.

if they’re planning on bringing the ds pokemon games onto the wii u (as i hope they do), then having the gamepad used purely for the bottom screen would be ideal.

    • I’d say they would for most games in the future, but due to the side screen… THING, it would be pretty uncomfortable to have to look at the TV from the side to see the top screen.
