As noted by Redditor joes_nipples, Mountain Dew was apparently doing a taste test at Kent State University in Ohio for, I guess, possible drinks. Among the flavours, that included Lemon Ginger and Mango Habanero, it seems, was “Mountain Dew Dewitos.”
According to joes_nipples, the liquid Doritos drink tasted “like if you shoved a handful of Doritos in your mouth and chugged some Dew at the same time.”
That sounds horrid!
“It honestly wasn’t that disgusting,” wrote joes_nipples on Reddit. “It tasted like orange with a doritos aftertaste. It tasted like straight doritos afterwards though. Weirdest thing I’ve ever drunk.”
But come on. This cannot be real. Even though Frito Lay is a Pepsi Co subsidiary and even though Pepsi Co owns Mountain Dew, this is too insane. Utter madness!

Being in Australia your’e spared most of the Mountain Dew/Dorito Nonsense.
Are we sure they didn’t accidentally mix up the Dewito’s photos with the photos of the drug testing lab?
Judging by bashcraft’s posts, he tried nearly every available asian sodas, which were combinations of different foods with sodas, but this post shows that he has standards on what to combine. Fyi, you can buy both doritoes & mountain dew in oz, lest someone not combine them down here, we will be fine
If they really wanted to crack it, they’d make it the combination flavour of actual mountain dew and Doritos finger dust.
