Snake? Snake? SNAAAAAAAAKE? Oh, sorry about the yelling. Just wanted to know what you’ve got under the hood of your PC.
Konami’s released the PC specs for the (phantom) painfully long-awaited PC release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the mini open-world prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Here’s what you’ll need to run it:
Minimum Specifications:
OS: Windows Vista 64-Bit or later
Processor: Core i5 SandyBridge 4Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above
Memory: 4 GB RAM or above
Graphics: GeForce GTX 650 or above
DirectX: Version 11 or above
Recommended Specifications:
OS: Windows Vista 64-Bit or later
Processor: Core i5 SandyBridge 4Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above
Memory: 8 GB RAM or above
Graphics: GeForce GTX 760 or above
DirectX: Version 11 or above
So nothing too crazy, but you probably won’t be running Ground Zeroes on a creaky old laptop either.
Konami has also been quite intent on letting the world know that this won’t be one of those barebones PC ports that sullies a series’ good name forever. They have promised customisable controls, Steam achievements, Steam Cloud support, and all that good stuff. Of course, there could still be framerate locks and restrictive graphics presets, so we’ll have to wait and see before we can officially declare this A Good Port.
For now, though, I’m suddenly realising that I shouted “METAL GEAR” in a Solid Snake voice in a bar the other night, and I don’t remember why. Oh wait, no, the other thing: are you getting Ground Zeroes on PC? Will this be your second go-’round, or have you held out for the PC release for the better part of a year?

Seems fine, the game runs at 60/1080 on PS4 so the spec’s were never going to be through the roof. I suspect the Sandy Bridge or higher requirement is the result of the them compiling for a more current instruction set that support the same features that the consoles do.
Recommends a GTX 760? o.o
So… I will need to up grade my 650 Ti Boost then…
As a fan of stealth games, even though I’ve only played MGS4 (Waiting for sales on the PS3 HD Collection and the first MGS on PSN), I’m definitely picking this up after Christmas if its on sale or a decent price
Can’t wait, wonder how well my 750 will hold up
I guess I need to say goodbye to 32-bit for good.

Your PC must be this metal to solidly run Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
