This Week In Games

Slim pickings once again this week. But amongst the dross, a handful of games that might otherwise have been ignored. That’s a good thing I suppose. So this week I’ll probably be checking out Goscurry, a cool game about a procedurally-generated road that springs up before your eyes. Good times.

Alphadia Genesis (PC)

What is it? First JRPG from KEMCO on Steam. This is a 16-bit style JRPG, think Square games on SNES.
Should you care? I’m not sure. Apparently KEMCO games a re a big deal. If you are aware of this fact, then maybe Alphadia Genesis is for you. Otherwise… nah.

Disorder (PC)

What is it? A psychological 2D Puzzle-Platformer. That’s certainly a weird confluence of genres.
Should you care? Looks extremely weird and interesting. Worth investigating.

Goscurry (PC)

What is it? Pilot a ship across a road that assembles before your eyes. COOL.
Should you care? I think this game looks really impressive. Cool idea, cool music, cool visuals. I’m keen.

Gunslugs 2 (PC)

What is it? Apparently this game take the “action chaos” genre further than ever before. I hadn’t even heard of the “action chaos” genre until now. Well, there you go.
Should you care? This really does look insane. I want to play this. Looks like a lot of fun.

Reverse Side (PC)

What is it? I’m sure this game was supposed to come out before. I’m sure I’ve posted about it on This Week In Games before. Either way, this is an adventure game about trying to survive on the moon.
Should you care? This is an interesting idea. But I don’t know enough about it to be honest.

Tengami (PC)

What is it? An adventure game set inside a Japanese pop-up book. Cool concept.
Should you care? This looks gorgeous and seems to be quite innovative. Worth checking out. I love the concept.

TRISTOY (PC)

What is it? It’s a story-drive 2D platformer.
Should you care? Looks a bit low-budget and not that great to be honest.

War, the Game (PC)

What is it? I just love this game’s name. WAR: THE VIDEO GAME. Amazing. This is an RTS using a present day setting. The idea is realism.
Should you care? This game has reviewed very well. I love the aesthetic. Looks different from most RTS games.
