Maybe a HD remake of Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Xbox One in the mean time would go down nice.
Looking forward to this as I loved the 1st and 3rd iteration of the series. But I was hoping that they could move away from the Jensen character (that emphysemic voice just grated on me a bit) and introduce a female lead…
It’s just a good thing the video thumbnail was gold tinted or we wouldn’t know what we were watching…
Until seeing that opening scene floating in the water, I hadn’t realised Jensen was Jason Bourne…
Wow, colour me excited. but how many times have I seen that floating in the water shot. It’s been used in so many movies/shows.
And how many times have you seen that ‘walking along the ground’ shot?
I bet that one is used WAY more.
Whoa… As much as this is just a vertical slice, it is a damn good one. Jensen taking on corrupt(?) police and a terrorist group. It’s going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.
And was that a Typhoon bullet?
DX has been excellent in the past when it comes to blurring the lines between good and evil so I hope they don’t make this into a cliche.
I really hope they don’t take it too far.
I always like Deus Ex because it was all so technologically plausible (well except for the massive hidden arm swords).
Now he’s teleporting around and having diamond skin… I’m worried about where this is heading.
I hope they didn’t sacrifice the realism and story for fancy action sequences.
You could always take a ghost in the shell approach. Alot of that could be taken as perception rather than actually technology. A new speed augmentation could make him seem like he’s teleporting to a spectator, an stealth, armor or magnetic shield augmentation could interfere with a person’s optical augmentations making it look like he digitised his entire body…
Icarus in HR looked pretty stupid in trailers as well until they gave it some context in-game.
New Aug skulls you can see:
Vanguard Dash
Shooting arm blade
Arm Taser
Skin hardening
Haha at the trailer. “So much pain. So many lives.” As he proceeds to kill a bunch of people.
Sure looks purdy. How bout some gameplay to go with the cg, pretty please squenix? And better batteries for Jensen. Quarter of a battery to choke a guy out? And as to unrealistic abilities, glowy anti-grav (ish) bubbles and a 360 degree ball bearing gun mounted where his shoulder blades n spine used to be were “realistic”? How the hell did that thing work i ask?
First I was like: “Oooh, a sequel to HR”
Then I was like: “ILLOOMINURTI!!!” *eyeroll*
But then I was like: “OH SHIIII, THAT’S BAD ASS!!!”
Hype won this round…
I’ve watched this video 4 times today. And forced my family to watch it too.
Man they’ve turned Jensen into a badass now. Love the design, such a great trailer. ETA’s prb next year though.
