On the May 5 episode of the Nightly Show, there was a gag where a phoney set of terms and conditions for agreeing to watch the program were flashed on-screen. If you saw it live you’d have only seen it flash by, but pausing reveals a politically-charged throwdown.
For anyone who can’t read the tiny print circled in the pic, it says:
All sales and rentals of products are final fantasy 3. Far and away the best of the Final Fantasy series.
Wow. Unless that was a typo that was meant to say “12”, that’s some bullshit right there, Nightly Show.

+1 for 8 because it’s my favourite game of all time. But they were also kinda right about 3 (which we call 6) because it’s basically perfect.

I kinda liked Wakka actually, maybe because the English voice was done by John DiMaggio, who did Bender in Futurama. Auron was definitely badass though.
Story-wise, I really enjoyed that sense of peaceful acceptance that everyone seemed to have about this horrible cycle of death caused by Sin. It felt more interesting to me than FF8’s story, though I did love FF8 as well.

I’m going to have to put my foot down here because “4” is without question the best game in the series.
4s are the best in all franchises, Final Fantasy and Call of Duty are proof of this. We shouldn’t be waiting for Half-Life 3 but Half-Life 4!

Pretty sure when they said 3 they meant the American Version of 3 which is actually Final Fantasy 6. If you’ve played Final Fantasy 6, then you already know.

tottaly agree. I prefer the classic SNES era jrpgs compared to the newer ones and ff6 was one of the best in the series (still not as good as chrono trigger but that’s a different argument)
