If you need to settle a life-or-death battle between the Terrans, Protoss and Zerg, this isn’t a half bad place to do it.
It’s called the Stara Zajezdnia, which is Polish for Old Depot. In this instance it’s an old tram depot that was built in 1913 and has been renovated over the years.
These days the Stara Zajezdnia is more of a functions and events centre in Krakow, where it houses the Museum of Urban Engineering and a microbrewery. It’ll also be playing host to the Season 3 finals for Blizzard’s World Championship Series, which is scheduled to run from September 8 to September 13.
Australians and New Zealanders might also like to take note because two of your compatriots will be at the event. Mackenzie “Petraeus” Smith will be flying the flag for New Zealand, while Australian and dwarves everywhere can unite behind the banner of the impish Sydney-sider Ethan “iaguz” Zugai.
Those unable to attend the event in person for free can simply watch the streams through the official WCS website. As a former Terran player, and someone who can’t grow a full beard because it gets patchy and all kinds of gross, I’m rooting for Zugai.
It’s kind of irrelevant since someone from South Korea will end up winning anyway, but it’s nice to barrack for the underdog.

IAGUZ!
Super keen to see Iaguz do really well, he’s been consistently improving over the seasons!
