This is a week where precisely zero big hitters are being released. But Steam is packed with a number of interesting weirdness this week. You should definitely check a few of them out.
Airscape: The Fall of Gravity (PC)
What is it? A 2D platformer that seriously messes with gravity. Looks gorgeous.
Should you care? Yeah, I’d recommend checking this out. I think it looks fascinating.
Beyond Eyes (PC)
What is it? A game about being blind. You should read our feature about it!
Should you care? It’s an interesting premise. I’m keen to check it out.
Blaster Shooter GunGuy! (PC)
What is it? “His mother was a Ninja, his father was a Gun. But now, GunDad has been kidnapped. And it’s up to you, GunGuy , to go out into the world and SAVE GUNDAD!” — Jesus, how can you not love that description.
Should you care? This looks hilarious. I need to play this.
Celestian Tales: Old North (PC)
What is it? A ‘gritty’ JRPG about choices and the impact of those choices.
Should you care? Yeah, looks alright, but super niche.
Gathering Sky (PC)
What is it? A game about guiding a flock of birds through the sky.
Should you care? Oh god, I need this kind of peace and tranquility in my life. Looks gorgeous.
Gravity Error (PC)
What is it? What is it about games messing with gravity this week? This is a puzzle platformer.
Should you care? Looks quite cool. I’m a real sucker for simple games like this.
Hacknet (PC)
What is it? It’s that Australian made game about hacking that looks really good.
Should you care? Yeah, I’m keen for this. Love the concept, love the execution.
Illuminascii (PC)
What is it? A first person shooter with an ascii visual style. Wow.
Should you care? What a strange, interesting concept for a video game. At the very least click the above link and watch the trailer.
Marble Muse (PC)
What is it? ANOTHER GAME ABOUT PHYSICS AND STUFF. They come in threes. This is more like a marble madness style thing though/
Should you care? Looks perfectly serviceable. Put that quote on the box.
OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood (PC)
What is it? OlliOlli2 hits PC this week.
Should you care? This is one of my favourite games of 2015 so far. It’s the best.
The Cat Machine (PC)
What is it? It’s a logic puzzler with cats.
Should you care? I’m finding it extremely difficult to recommend a game that has “the future is meow” as a tagline.
Void Invaders (PC)
What is it? A retro style shooter that messes around with physics and stuff. Looks cool.
Should you care? Great visual style. Basic. But looks good.
Did we miss anything? Picking anything up this week? Let us know in the comments below.

There’s also a huge number of Indie Game Maker Contest entries that dropped over the weekend! These games have all been in development for less than a month.
Huge amount of passion and some surprisingly creative entries in there. Worth checking out in a quiet week like this.

(Personally, I recommend you check out a little title called “Messar Dreams”)Everybody Has Gone To The Rapture is releasing this week too I think. Looking forward to that one.
Thank god there is no games coming out of the PS4 PSN this week *cough Everybody has Gone to the Rapture*
Can we change these threads to “This week in PC Steam Games” from now on since author frequently misses PSN releases (I noticed there was a few new games last week that was missed like Sword Art online and Submerged – Boggle was also supposed to be released but I didnt see it when I looked)
And what about the Xbox and WiiU stores?
Yeah, there have been a few misses recently.
Exactly – Beyond Eyes came out on X1 last week yet here it’s a brand new Steam game! This has been an ongoing problem that has become much more noticeable in recent weeks
It’s not the full list of Steam releases for the week either.
Also out this week on PSN is (subject to change according to Sony or Developer whims):
– Goat Simulator (PS4/3)
– TorqueL (Vita)
– Toy Soldiers: War Chest (PS4)
– Gauntlet (PS4)
*Add some comment about Konami and how Suikoden III may or may or may not be released for AU/NZ territories this week*
