Nintendo’s Japanese website launched a big update for Super Mario Maker today, and part of includes a neat surprise: a free pdf version of the fancy little coffee table book that otherwise comes with boxed copies the game.

You’re really going to want to do this: the book is incredible, full of cool Mario images that range from examples of what the game can do to some cute concept and promo art.
The highlight, though, is one of the first pages, which has the score for Koji Kondo’s original Mario theme on it.
Note that what you’re downloading isn’t the manual, which is also great; it’s a book that comes with physical copies of the game.

Big W has the special edition with the amiibo for $69 AUD (64 for the standard and book) btw, seems to be the cheapest retailer.
