Metroid Prime Looks Great In VR

Metroid Prime Looks Great In VR

The release of v5.0 of the Dolphin emulator has one very cool trick: It now has proper support for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

Below is JoshDub (thanks, RPS) playing through the game everyone is going to jump to first: Metroid Prime, which is perfect for the platform given its visor-like HUD.

It’s not perfect, but for a game released over 10 years ago, things seem to be working pretty well!

A lot better than they are, sadly, for the game I’d most want to play in VR: Wind Waker (which does have a first-person mode, but it’s very limited).
