This is an image of a website. It’s a website designed to help advise you on what heroes you should be picking for what situations. I’m using it because I don’t really know how to play Dota 2 properly.
So I’m going to try to learn. While playing ranked matchmaking, in the lowly 2000’s. It’s going to be quite the journey.
I don’t know whether its just years of practice getting beat by Koreans in Brood War and StarCraft 2, but the prospect of a dwindling MMR doesn’t actually bother me a great deal. And while Dota 2 still has plenty of problems with dickheads trying to ruin things with their One True Way of playing, I’m finding that I’m genuinely enjoying the game.
Weirdly, it’s replaced No Man’s Sky for me. I put 55 hours into exploring that universe, but I can’t see myself going back any time soon. All I ever did was end up amassing money. I haven’t seen Nada or Polo yet. I’ve only encountered the one Atlas Stone. But I’ve got 14 million saved up, so that’s what matters, right?
But don’t get me wrong. I’ve enjoyed my time with that little space explorer. But it’s time for me to move back into my natural field of something more competitive. I like working hard. I like the difficulty. And I like trying to see whether I can rise up the ranks through hard work. So it’s the nightmare that is ranked matchmaking in Dota 2 for me.
What are you playing this weekend?

Nuka World DLC for Fallout 4
If Xbox Support can help my issue of not being able to play my digitally purchased games I’ll play some Shadows of Mordor and Mankind Divided too
Project Diva X and God Eater: Resurrection are my main games for the weekend with some Trillion and EOU 2 on the side.
You got the Vita edition of God Eater 2 Rage Burst with the free download? Nice!
When does hard difficulty unlock on PDX?
WoW: Legion – Typical gearing and leveling release rush, love/hate it but it’s gotta be done.
Endgame in Fire Emblem Fates Revelation. I’ve given up on grinding weapon levels and am heading for the finish line.
Deus Ex Human Revolution Director’s Cut – still in Detroit on my stealthy, non-lethal, hardest difficulty run.
Hatsune Miku Project Diva X (Vita) – liking it so far, but why can’t I access hard difficulty on songs that I have cleared on normal difficulty??
Maybe some Overwatch if I get that itch.
It’s a good endgame
Will trudge on in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Love it.
And run around in Far Cry 4. Love it even more.
I mighy even continue my replay of Rise of the Tomb Raider if I find time.
Witcher 3
I’ve owned the game for about a year. In that time I have gotten about 30 minutes into the game, put it down, come back a month later, restarted the game ’cause I couldn’t remember how to play it, gotten about 30 minutes in, put it down, come back a month later, etc, etc
I think it’s finally time this weekend for me to start a new game and see if I can just keep playing it without getting distracted by everything else and forgetting about it.
Gearing up for a good old fashioned LAN party tonight. Going to smash out some levels in WoW with some mates accompanied by some beers and pizza.
Whatever I can get my hands on at PAX!
Bewbs
I doubt it but I wouldn’t be against that outcome.
Maybe not at the venue itself though.
You never know, you just might meat that special someone
I downloaded all the Mass Effect 3 DLC last night, so that.
Will hopefully get around to playing GoW Ultimate Edition, and picked up Earthlock: Festival of Magic yesterday (thanks GwG). Might give that a crack
Stress Simulator 2016.
After two months my motherboard is showing the warning signs I need to replace it before it downright breaks my hardware, 🙁
My copy of Deus Ex arrived last night so i have that a crack and remembered why i loved Human Revolution so much. I’m on the final level of Birthright but keep getting my backside handed to me so I’ll grind because i want to begin my mixed race super babies run in Revelations where every Nohr marries a Hoshido.
Finally, got a group coming over for board games and Wii U so 8 player Smash, Mario Kart will be on. Sorry just very excited since i didn’t get to play any games for the past two weeks!!!
A little Battlefield 1 Beta, check out the new update & map for Uncharted 4 Multiplayer, but most of all Yakuza 5.
(Sorry double post)
I have a hunch that Father’s Day will bring something I didn’t ask for (but I totally did!)
In the meantime I’m finishing up Human Revolution on the Xbone and having fun in the BF1 beta
Continuing my play through of Deus Ex Mankind Divided, its a good game and I am enjoying it somewhat but I am not enamoured with it, while playing I keep thinking about other games (is this like mentally cheating on your partner???) which brings me to my next point……..
I have been giving a lot of though to getting on the WOW train, I have only ever played a small (very small) amount about 5 years ago, but all these new articles etc have me pretty keen to give it a try and see what the hype is about. Downloaded over the last day or so and was pretty keen to get into it until……..
@alexwalker just gave me a hankering to give DOTA a try, which is also a game I have found myself looking at with interest over a long time but have never gotten around to trying out. Thanks Alex 😉
Now I am so confused.
Poor me, I have to many games to play #firstworldproblems
I’ve belatedly gotten into Rainbow 6 Siege and love it, so probably that.
Kameo: Elements of Power on 360.
Skyward Sword on Wii U.
F1 2016/ Euro Truck Simulator 2/ DiRT Rally on PC.
I want to be playing Deus Ex, but I’ve overspent this month. So I’ll be playing Darksiders 2: “The Definitive Edition.”
Picked it up for all of $3 a while back, have to say I’m having a pretty good time with it…
I hate myself for this but I will be playing Legion. I might chuck in some Rimworld and Deus Ex if I have time.
Not telling
Dota 2 again. This weekend. Every weekend.
Also Duelyst. That game is incredible!
Aw yiss Dota 2!
Yeah had a game of Dota2 for the first time in a while last night, good times. Also yeah holy shit how good is duelyst? Been hitting it hard the last week, I’m obsessed!
Battlefield 1 Beta if it works and the disappointingly boring Deus Ex Divided by Man or whatever its called.
replaying Dragon Quest 8 actually. what a great game,
just got my hands on the ship in the desert
gotta love ps2 rpgs
Overwatch – I can’t remember the last time a game had me hooked like this.
I’ve accidentally lost so many hours to Overwatch. Who do you main?
Tracer, Soldier 76 and Bastion 🙂
It’s so easy to lose track of time especially how the matches start straight after each other
Bloodborne – just beat those bastards in the forest (Shadow of yharnam) probably one of the biggest treks back to a boss in any souls-like game which made it even more stressful.
Grim Dawn – really like some of the ideas and innovations in this, even though it’s basically titan quest 2.
Witcher 3 maybe… the time investment is scaring me off so far. Didn’t stop me getting the expansions though, so we’ll see.
Legion!
I’ve come back to WoW after so many years. I have to say though, the start of Legion is amazing!! I’m really enjoying it and this time, rather than rush through the story to get to the end game, I’m taking my time and enjoying a leisurely pace. It’s a much better experience.
I’ve only been touching the Battlefield 1 beta. It’s good, but it’s just Battlefield. If you’ve played one you’ve played them all. Which means you’re aware of how rare people spot.
For some reason, I just started up FF7 on PS4. Don’t know why I suddenly want to play through that again.
Also Overwatch season 2 competitive just started up, so I’ll put some time into that.
Police quest series from humble bundle. Rockin it old school.
Just Battlefield 1, gotta get the most of the beta.
Back on the WoW after many years! Welcome to Legion!
Worms WMD. And I’m going to try and push on with Fallout 4 and/or Twilight Princess HD. I am finding it so hard to stick with open ended/sprawling games these days. Attention span is shot to pieces. Also life gets in the way a lot.
