D&D’s ‘Stream Of Annihilation’ Is On Right Now, Will Feature Aussie Roleplayers The Dragon Friends

Pen-and-paper roleplaying can be hard to get into if you’ve never tried it before and even veterans can feel rusty when diving into a new system or revised rule set. While the 5th Edition of Dungeons & Dragons has been out for a few years now, I know many have stuck with 4th Edition or even 3.5. If you want to get a feel for 5th Ed, there’s no better way than watching pros wrangle with it live.

The official D&D channel on Twitch is currently running its “Stream of Annihilation”, a two-day event where professional D&D groups including Maze Arcana, Critical Role and even the home-grown Dragon Friends will dice with death using upcoming content for 5th Edition.

If you tune in right now, you can catch the Critical Role folks going at it tooth and orc. Alternatively (or also), Dragon Friends will be streaming their dungeon-crawling adventures starting 9:30am Sunday.

Just so you know, the plan apparently is to have Q&A sessions, product announcements (including board games) and other such commercial content peppered in as well, which may be a good or bad thing depending on what you’re tuning in for.
