Here’s The First Glimpse At The Batman: Gotham By Gaslight Movie

Warner Bros. announced that the next DC animated movie would be an adaptation of Gotham by Gaslight, the classic Victorian alt-reality tale drawn by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. Now, we’re getting a preview of what that film will look like.

The eight-minute first look comes as a special feature on the Batman and Harley Quinn movie and has interviews with various creators from DC/WB animation. Creative director Mike Carlin promises there will still be surprises for those who’ve read the original Gotham by Gaslight comic and its sequel Batman: Master of the Future. In the clip, you’ll get glimpses of 19th-Century versions of Harvey Dent, James Gordon and Selina Kyle, along with a trio of young street urchin lads with very familiar names.

Batman: Gotham by Gaslight is due out next year.
