Full Metal Replica Of Kylo Ren’s TIE Silencer, Built In 6 Weeks

I suppose building an AT-ACT wasn’t good enough. Colin Furze, inventor and builder of the mad and wonderful, spent six weeks construction a replica of Kylo Ren’s TIE silencer. And as you’ll see in the photos below, it looks brilliant.

Unsurprisingly, it’s a promotional tie-in (ha!) with the soon-to-be-released Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but that doesn’t really take away from the final product or the endeavour of constructing it.

The ship, which features proper internals for a pilot to climb and sit in, measures 14m long, 7m wide and 4.27m high. The structure is full steel and thanks to a fellow by the name of James Bruton, comes with a “fully working” BB-9E droid.

If you happen to find yourself in Stamford in the UK sometime before December 11, you can drop by Burghley House and check it out for yourself.
