On December 6, a new theme will be made available for the PS4 that will have your modern console’s dashboard looking like something from a couple of generations back.
Built by Truant Pixel, with help from PlayStation US, Japan and even Naughty Dog, it combines “multiple disparate elements into a single piece of theme software which mimics the sights, sounds, and functionality of the Playstation 2 Dashboard.”
It’s beautiful. The sound, the purple, it’s like a time machine.

Picking this up day one!
Definitely getting this.
A nice throw back to simpler, yet in some ways – better, time.
SO many nice feels. Definitely going to grab it too.
While on the subject of PS4 themes, does anybody know if / when we’re getting the free Rez Infinite themes? I read something about them last week, I think – they looked really nice, but no sign of them on the PS Store that I can see.
Really do wish microsoft would do custom themese like this on xbox one. This and the ability to install your own HD are the things i love about PS4.
But do the bars represent system memory like the PS2 did?!?!
