If the prospect of Resident Evil 2 in 4K without tank controls sounds good, then you will really enjoy the next 5 minutes.
Capcom dropped a slice of footage on YouTube early this morning, sans commentary. It’s gameplay footage from E3, but unencumbered by the hassles of conferences or trailer music or other bits and bobs that get in the way.
Put simply: RE2 is looking very clean. Fans of the original might miss the antiquated controls, but everything else has been touched up nicely while still keeping the aesthetic of the original. The close-up scenes are great too, and should add an extra bit of horror to the Capcom classic.
RE2 drops January 25 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One next year.
