When it comes to VR and mixed reality, rhythm games have always translated over well. And Harmonix, who know their way around a beat, unveiled a new mixed reality title this morning that looks a little like Beat Sabre with guns.
The trailer below gives you kind of an indication of the style of rhythm game: you'll use the VR controllers to point and shoot at certain targets, while other ones will have you making long slicing motions (like you're firing an automatic pistol) or double-handed slashes like you're holding a sword.
I wouldn't buy a VR headset just for this - top-of-the-line VR is still expensive as all hell - but if I had one, this is definitely the sort of game I'd be keen on.[video provider="youtube" id="1PwmDO5WCq8" size="xlarge" align="left"]
