Everything You Need To Know About Nine’s New Pedestrian Television Channel

A new channel has landed on Aussie screens this week: PEDESTRIAN TELEVISION.

Launched by our parent company (Pedestrian Group), the channel will house spicy local news, along with music videos, comedy, reality shows, movies and super niche series.

What to expect from PEDESTRIAN TELEVISION

Basically, it’s a place that promises to end decision fatigue, where you can discover new stuff and rediscover classics you can’t find anywhere else.

We’re most keen on the Canadian artist collective Eternal Family. It launched in 2020 with videos from artists like Cole Kush, Mac DeMarco, and Cricket Arrison, and the library has grown to feature over 200 titles from over 100 artists. But, I can’t stress this enough, it is cooked. If you asked me to describe this content, I would say it’s a fever dream. Do I understand it? Absolutely not. Do I enjoy it? You betcha.

There are laughs from the edgier side of comedy too, with the star-studded adult animation series Supermansion ft. Bryan Cranston, Seth Green, Heidi Gardner, Keegan Michael Key. Claymation, crude adult animation – made by Robot Chicken people.

There is more ~standard~ programming on the channel too, with sitcoms like Marry Me and Just Shoot Me! There are plenty of cult classic films that will take you back to your Video Ezy days, too. We’re talking Beverly Hills Ninja, So I Married An Axe Murderer, Bottle Rocket and Jawbreaker.

If you want a complete brain cleanse, there are also some bonkers reality shows like Release The Hounds where contestants get chased by a pack of dogs and Murder House Flip where literal crime scenes are renovated like it’s The Block.

Plus, there will be 90-second Australia Today news pieces by PEDESTRIAN.TV and VICE journalists, celeb interviews, vox pops and exclusive access to your local musicians.

How to access PEDESTRIAN TELEVISION

The channel is free, all you need is a 9Now account to access it. Once you log in, jump to the PEDESTRIAN TELEVISION channel in the 9Now app on your TV, phone or browser where you can watch all of the above and more.

You can check out the chaos, here.
