In recent years, Japanese company Vanillaware has made some of the most beautiful and unique-looking games ever. But long ago, in the ancient time known as the 1990’s, before Dragon’s Crown, Muramasa: The Demon’s Blade, and Odin Sphere — before even the creation of Vanillaware itself — there was Princess Crown.
Princess Crown is a side-scrolling action RPG much like the PS2’s Odin Sphere and was made by many of the same people back when they worked for Atlus. While a bit more cartoony looking than recent Vanillaware titles, it still shares the George Kamitani style — making for some quality visuals even today.

Princess Crown was released for the Sega Saturn in 1997 and then again for the PSP in 2005, but it has never received an international release.
