Hey, Apple announced new things and considering its growing might in the gaming space, I thought it might be worthwhile rounding up the main news from last night’s event. New iPad Air, new iPad Mini. Other… um, stuff! It’s all happening!

Yeah, no
This is a gaming site, whatisthisidontevenknow
I heard tell that games could possibly end up being available on iPads. Of course I have no idea if this is true or not, but it it was it might be somewhat relevant to video games. Barely relevant of course, but relevant nonetheless
No, games have been available on iPad for a few months now. You’re thinking of Macs, that still don’t have game support. That’s coming in the next OS X apparently.
Good talk guys. Good talk.
thanks Chief, we aim to please 😉
(but we’ve disabled aim-assist, so sometimes its a bit off, as some people are using controllers instead of mouse and keyboard)
Thanks for the update 🙂 There was no way I was getting up at 4am to watch them announce this stuff. They need something new, apple is becoming old news.
I can just picture you as the coach in a sports locker room full of lazy misfits ala Emilio Estevez in Champions.
“Come on guys! Put some effort in, you can do this!”
Ipad mini with retina is freakin amazing, day one purchase !
Can’t tell if sarcasm … or seriousism …
Well I have a mini now that doesn’t have retina…. so I can hand me down to my g/f and pick up the new one. I can’t really see myself upgrading every year but I walked into the initial mini purchase knowing that I’d want the second iteration.
I probably use the mini about 30mins-2 hours a day so I feel it’s a justified upgrade.
Its a shame they made it more expensive 🙁
Yeah agreed, but for me if they’d brought it out $100 cheaper without the retina or A7 chip then I would have been annoyed. The fact that everything is upto date makes me feel better about the purchase.
While it’s hard to get interested in this kind of stuff, given that it’s all just “THINNER! LIGHTER! MOAR BATTERY LIFE! RETINA! iOS 7!”, it’s hard to just scroll by these articles.
I guess I just stop by to see if anything significant has changed that could possibly release my death grip on my 2012 Nexus 7. And so far, nope.
Yeah I think it’s more exciting to someone who doesn’t own a tablet yet feeling like they get more for their buck. Once you’ve got one you’re way less feverish to upgrade… and really most peoples current tabs serve their needs so paying full price for minimal upgrades seems pointless. But if you lost or broke it then I’m sure you’d welcome the 2013 Nexus 7 🙂
