Well, that answers that. The Metal Gear Online project being hyped for yesterday’s Game Awards wasn’t a new game. It’s the name for Metal Gear Solid V‘s multiplayer component.
There are combat mechs. And also selfies. With puppies. Video below, and screens below that (thanks Zak!)

taking a page from the GTA school of marketing I see….hopefully they didn’t take a page from the GTA school of online server management….
That looks really cool but I hope there’s a competitive mode i miss the old MGO.
Well this is team vs team, so it’s competitive like the old MGO.
ohh ok awesome! I thought it was AI
Is is AI they are up against or not? This article title is very misleading. Because if it’s PvP then by that logic every game with a team deathmatch is ‘multiplayer co-op’ which is not what I tnink of when I think co-op…
From the trailer the way enemies move around seems like they’re players, since I can’t see the AI setting traps or using cardboard boxes this way, or running away from where a Gatling gun is aimed at.
So it’s not co-op multiplayer at all, right.
Ocelot kind of resembles Troy Baker. Not that it’s a bad thing.
