Well, I’m actually feeling a bit caught up. I’ve finished playing Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture, which I liked a lot.
That frees me up to play… MORE ROCKET LEAGUE.
Or maybe I should try out N++ instead? I have a couple of friends who seems to be loving it, and competing on the online leaderboards. This is the kind of thing I like to do.
I’ve given up on The Witcher 3 I think. Too much of a time investment for a game that isn’t Rocket League.
What are you guys and girls planning to play this weekend?

Not planning to play Rocket League, but that’s almost certainly what will happen. Best PS+ game I’ve played so far. Considering buying the DLC just to support the developer.
Good attitude to have.
Already bought the DLC, because I feel bad for getting it for free on PS+
Buying it tonight how much is it?
I think it was $5.99 on the ps4
Doing the same thing. Gotten more hours out of this than any other PS+ game by far. Feel like I owe them a little for all of the fun.
I started playing a couple of days ago. It’s a giggle!
Fallout Shelter on Android (because my Gen 1 iPad can’t handle it), and the reboot of Shadow Warrior (because I’m a cheapass trying to save money by not buying new games)
I’ll be trying to finish Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword and playing some Disgaea 2. There’ll probably be some Rising Thunder and USF IV in there as well.
Is blazing sword a Japanese one? I love the FE games, but I haven’t heard of that one
Blood Bowl on my Nexus 7. I tried re-downloading the Chaos Edition but the improvements they made on mobile makes that one the better version, even though it’s missing a substantial amount of teams and a tonne of features like real-time play and more.
I’ll probably play through some Rayman Origins a bit more, maybe a bit of leaving the ball in Don Bradman Cricket 14 as penance for our middle order who seems incapable of doing that, probably a few games of matchmaking in CS:GO and a touch of DeadCore, which I picked up in the recent BANDAI NAMCO Humble Bundle.
I find in DBC14 if I try to play realistic and leave/block I do terrible but if I just play my shots at every ball (not aggressive but just regular drives and cuts\pull) I end up scores 100s at better than a run a ball. Not the biggest fan of how their batting system turned out even though it’s based on some good principals, works well for ODIs/T20s but in tests it falls apart for me. Also once you get the spinners down you can hit them for 6 every all until they push the field back with barely any risk, sometimes I’d get pegged back by a close field and a good quick where every shots to a fielder but when the spinners come on I make up ground quick.
What I’ve found happens is that if you leave enough balls the bowlers just bowl directly at you/the stumps to force you to play, so then you can pick off balls of your choosing.
It also took me a while, but if you prepare to leave by going for a back foot defensive, you then get the best leave animation (because the others often result in the batter’s body getting in the way, which results in you losing a fraction of confidence, becoming more fatigued and potentially getting out if you glove the ball behind or it deflects onto the stumps somehow).
Also, you get a way more realistic innings by leaving the ball and playing properly, so that’s a bonus!
So that’s where I go wrong. I think I would fit in nicely in the aussie middle order at the moment.
Maybe I should have called my player David Warner, because he only knows one way to bat !
six….six….out !
Probably will finish off Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris!
Is it better/worse than Guardian of Light?
I feel like it’s not quite as good, but still a whole lot of fun!
Still playing MKX and Fire Emblem. I renewed by subscription to FF14 so I’ll be glad to get back into that.
Been getting really into FTL. Finally finished the Mantis Cruiser, really glad since that was the worst setup out of all the ships.
Also might do some reading and Warmachine painting and keep on working on my Halo 3 review.
Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin. Have reached the first primal bonfire but damn Huntsman’s Copse is kicking my arse!
I’m a bit over matchmaking me with 2 Rocket League team mates who are:
A – Over 250 ping and spend the whole time jumping and missing at balls
B – Play disruptive games by zooming all over the place, crashing into me and not going after the ball
I’m on level 19 of Witcher 3, on Skellige running around finding quests. Fatigue is starting to kick in a little.
Why aren’t they using the search filters to only search for games in their region? :\
I know what you mean. I’m almost Level 24 on Skellige and doing all the points of interest can get a little taxing, particularly when many of them involve sailing around in a boat forever and ever (I vowed not to use Fast Travel for anything besides travel between map zones, but Skellige has sorely tempted me a few times!)
RE: Rocket League – I restrict matchmaking to the Oceania region. Are you doing that?
yep always played restricted to Oceania, as Neo said that doesn’t stop others from wrongly joining my game though..
Trying to be a good boy and do hobby stuff!!! But will probably capitulate and play some World of Warships, and hopefully some of my back catalog such as Banished and Prison Architect 🙂
I’m playing “spending time with my girlfriends family”.
And Dragon Age: Inquisition.
And maybe Witcher 3.
And hookers & blackjack.
Actually forget the family, Dragon Age, Witcher and blackjack!

I’m gonna do some quickplays this weekend, hence the amount of games I’ve listed.
Wall of text hits you for over 9000 damage. You die.
Id say “its over 9000”
Virtues Last Reward is so intriguing! I’m only part ways through, but damn. If you haven’t played that kind of game before, at least play it through to the “end”. You’ll understand when you do ;D
I think you’ll struggle to quickplay quite a few of those, Final Fantasy X for example 😛
Also, you monster, how dare you quickplay Project Diva F 2nd. You need a minimum of 150 hours to do it justice!
by listing Uncharted Golden Abyss twice, means you’re going to speed run it twice in a row?
After a month or so break while I played Arkham Knight, I have come back to Witcher 3. So it will be that, some Rocket League and hopefully finishing off the campaign of Dying Light (I only play when I can co-op with my friend)
I hope everyone has an awesome weekend no matter what they get up to! 🙂
We’re moving house on Monday. So Tetris?
I’m going to be playing Life. My 3yr olds b’day party this weekend, along with other life things.
Rocket League, and a bit of Pillars of Eternity.
I really should start Pillars at some point. I have to finish Bloodborne as well, although after The Witcher 3 and the update to its movement system I don’t know if I want to go back to Yharnam and deal with all that nonsense.
Hear hear!!!
New mode incoming for splatoon! Rainmaker looks pretty cool.
This game drags me back in every weekend, it would be disruptive if I had anything else to play this month.
I might get some Watch_Dogs done, otherwise I’m hoping to jump back into Destiny and do some raids. I might even have a crack at Prison of Elders level 35 and kill Skolas, since it’s the last thing I need to do to unlock my Year 1 Triumph emblem. Probably won’t, but I’m thinking about it.
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood
Thanks for reminding me! I think I’m about half way through, but I got distracted by other things and completely forgot about The Old Blood.
I’ll also be continuing my slow progress through Remember Me, for which all the reviews were spot on – great game with an interesting but frustrating combat system. But so pretty!
The Witcher 3… it’s like that feeling you get when you have too much of a good thing and it leaves you feeling somewhat bloated and jaded but you still want more 🙂
Nearing the end of Persona Q. I’m really liking it, particularly the:
wedding scene with Rise (best waifu).
Still getting in some Miku from time to time. I have a new appreciation for Luka’s “Let’s Be Friends” (so catchy).
Real Life will see me playing Pathfinder tomorrow in the Mummy’s Mask campaign. I’m playing a female human character named Lola, who is pretty crap at most things, and despite not being a bard, likes to tote around a guitar and sing inspirational or moving songs as well as offering massages to party members.
Rocket League Vs The Witcher 3? Horses for courses @markserrels!
I got my Rocket League platinum and still enjoy the odd game here and there, but it no longer has the stranglehold on my gaming time it once had. I agree with you that comparing it to The Witcher 3 is a bit like comparing The Wiggles to Giuseppe Verdi (both great by the way).
Heroes of the Storm. Just started out and having a good bit of fun with it so far.
That and some Dragon Age Inquisition
Long backlog
Will probably be juggling a few games.
Witcher 3
Ar nosurge Plus
Fairy Fencer F
Dota 2
Finishing up Delta Episode on Alpha Sapphire today – probably start Omega Ruby next. Other time will likely be allocated to more DoL grinding on FFXIV, and maybe deciding what TV show to start next. Got up to date with Hannibal last night, and finished Daredevil last week – need something to tide me over until The Walking Dead S6!
havent really been playing much lately, but i might give act of aggression a go this weekend. been speading most of my time watching the GSL and IEM Starcraft matches
Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and Hacknet. Probably find some time for Rocksmith and Destiny, too.
I’m playing stuff…when I have the time, which I dont…yay!
I’ve been really enjoying my time with AC: Black Flag. I only picked it up a couple of weeks ago when it was on sale. Had I known it was going to be this great, I would have picked it up months and months ago.. perhaps even when it released! So I’ll likely be trying to find some time to play that.
The other game I really need to start playing, though maybe not this weekend, is Arkham Knight. It is sitting on my SSD taking up precious space.. and I have only played around 3% so far! Now that I am in the mood for that type of combat, from playing AC, I will likely now get a whole lot more enjoyment out of it.
Black Flag is the best Assassin’s Creed I’ve played (which is all except Rogue and Unity). The piracy is just SO much fun, as is the island hopping and the majority of the story missions. Great setting, great characters and decent writing.
Rock Band 3 at Beta Bar tonight. I’m almost due to get some more DLC for it. Probably Fallout Tale of Two Wastelands other than that though.
I’ll be picking up Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture as it’s payday today. Noticed the game takes place 21 days before I was born.
Other than that, hopefully I’ll get close to hitting level 50 on ESO. Almost finished the Covenant side of things other than group dungeons. I really need to find a new guild to join and play with
– Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture
– Beyond Eyes
– Rare Replay
Hell yes
About to buy The Crew for cheap and give it a shot. Enjoyed the demo and the idea of a huge open world America. And that upcoming DLC looks great. Bit of a spontaneous purchase, but oh well.
Also want to get the Rocket League DLC and maybe play some more Dragon Age Inquisition.
I’m working tonight and tomorrow night, but other than that, I’m pretty dead-set on Rocket League with my brother, more Dragon Age: Inquisition, and I picked up Elite Dangerous on Xbox Preview yesterday.
Elite is awesome so far, but I’m only a few missions into the training. It’s awesome, but definitely something you have to sit down and learn… can’t beat the Cobra Face-Off training mission yet, and I’ve tried it twice. Ahh well, I’m still loving the learning experience 🙂
Grandia III. Finally on the second disk.
How are you finding it? I absolutely adore the first two Grandia games (it’s my favourite JRPG series), but never had my own PS2 to try the third. The average reviews put me off for a while, but I’ve been thinking about giving it a whirl recently 🙂
Best I can describe it is a mix of the first two games. The charm of the first with graphics and plot from the second.
The old battle system is there with some tweaks (some not so good) but overall I’m enjoying it.
I’ll have to track it down then. Can never have enough Grandia!
Just a heads up, if you are looking for a copy, it never came to Australia so you’ll have to import a copy from North America which are rare as hens teeth these days.
Unless you are fluent in Japanese in which case copies should still be affordable.
I have Grandia on the Saturn, and made my way through with a translation guide, so it shouldn’t be too bad. Gotta pick up a modded/JPN model PS2 in that case. Cheers mate 🙂
You lucky guy! Out of curiosity, have you played the English version (NA or EU, doesn’t matter)?
If you haven’t, well it’s worth playing the game again in English as translation is rediculously inconsistent.
For example, all references to alcohol have been replaced with (no joke) coffee. Even an early character, Jin, who you get the passport (steamer pass) from has been renamed to Java.
Yet the relationship between Justin and Feena is intact and what was their age difference again?
Yeah, I played the PS1 version through a few times via emulation. Loved it so much I got Grandia II on the Dreamcast right after. Picked up the actual Saturn version this year, and finished it again with a translation guide. It wasn’t too hard, as I’d played the English translation a few times, but still, it’s amazing how you take even incidental stuff for granted when playing something that’s been localised. Following a translation guide is an experience, that’s for sure 🙂
I’m playing the Czech expansion to ARMA 2. I’ve owned it for a while but (bloody steam) I remembered I have it last night so Im giving it a go on the weekend………….i’ve also got Deponia 2 as a back up cause I liked the first one and forgot (bloody steam) that I own this one too.
Same thing I do every weekend Mark, try to finish the Witcher
Keep going, Witcher bro, together we can triumph!
I concur. I know the end is in sight… But I can’t see it! Seriously, if it wasn’t so AAA it would be a struggle.
Witcher 3 if I have any luck but most probably Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris local co-op.
This:
Well I intend to play a bit more of GTA which I’ve still yet to finish… but more then likely will end up on bloody destiny again. I need help lol
I finished the Witcher 3 this week. It’s been such a fixture for the last 3 months that I’m feeling a bit lost. Might head back to my Diablo 3 game on PS4 or start something new from my origin/steam pile of shame. Have Mass Effect 3 and Arkham Origins installed. In all likelihood I will probably just continue to suck at Rocket League.
Gta V, Witcher 3… Which means I’ll keep paying Elite Dangerous instead
Moving house, building furniture… And Witcher 3. All a tad overwhelming, but immensely satisfying 🙂
Mass Effect and probably ESO and/or Borderlands 2 multiplayer with friends
Witcher 3 and SCII new expansion missions.
No one playing new Batman, geez I wonder why…..
