It’s been a long time coming, but this week is finally the week.
After delay upon delay Mighty No. 9 is finally available. It will finally be a video game that you can play.
It’s actually a fairly busy game this week. Hearts of Iron IV, Asemblance… um, Professional Farmer 2017. A lot of weird, interesting games being released this week.
Asemblance (PS4/PC)
What is it? A first-person psychological thriller inspired by shows like Black Mirror.
Should you care? I like all the above words. This is the first episode. Worth taking a look I think.
Breached (PC)
What is it? A sci-fi mystery where you awake in space with your shelter destroyed. Figure out what the hell happened and survive.
Should you care? Nice production values, nice trailer. I’m intrigued.
Hearts Of Iron IV (PC)
What is it? It’s the strategy game that strategy fans are losing their minds over. It basically replays the whole of World War II.
Should you care? If you’re a fan of this genre, it’s apparently pretty amazing. Very dense, very in-depth.
Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (Wii U/3DS)
What is it? It’s the olympics, so there’s one of these again.
Should you care? Nah.
Mighty No. 9 (Xbox One/PS4/Wii U/Vita/PC)
What is it? It’s the crowd-funded Mega Man update that everyone is/was so excited about. It’s finally being released.
Should you care? It had the worst trailer in recent memory, but this game still looks super interesting. I’m looking forward to it.
Pac-Man 256 (PS4)
What is it? Hey wait, this is coming out on consoles this week?
Should you care? This is a really interesting update of Pac-Man, made in Melbourne. I enjoyed it a lot on mobile.
Professional Farmer 2017 (PC/PS4)
What is it? Exactly what it says on the tin.
Should you care? I really need to play one of these games.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (Wii U)
What is it? A cool looking JRPG that mixes the universe of Shin Megami Tensei with Fire Emblem.
Should you care? Apparently this is pretty decent. Fans of either series might want to investigate.
Umbrella Corps (PS4/PC)
What is it? It’s like a competitive shooter set in the Resident Evil universe and I don’t know what anything means anymore.
Should you care? I mean it might be good? I honestly have no idea.
Did we miss anything? Picking anything up? Let us know below.

Didn’t even bother to add Mighty No. 9 platforms. You know it’s going to be disappointing, but did you expect it to be bad.
Praise Capcom for not letting Inafune make another Mega Man game.
Going to wait for Mighty No. 9 reviews for the Vita version…..if it ever comes out. Which is unlikely
Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Cannot wait to play the Zika Virus and political corruption mini games.
Seriously, does anyone actually give a shit about the Olympics anymore?
I don’t really care who wins, and am not going to wake up in the night for it or anything, but I enjoy watching the best in the world compete against eachother at pretty much anything, and appreciate its place in sports and history.
I think your just being negative for the sake of it, which noone needs more of on a Monday morning.
Oh damn, completely forgot about Tokyo Mirage Session.
I was wondering about Tokyo. Do you know if it will feature towns and stores? I’m wondering if this game is open or linear.
It looks to have a similar setup as Persona. The gameplay videos so far have shown the character wander around Tokyo and gone to a couple different stores including a 7/11 style store in which Anna from Fire Emblem works at
Actually really glad. I’ve looked up videos on YouTube and it seemed pretty linear. Glad that it plays a bit like Persona.
Hearts of Iron 4 came out weeks ago! And it’s WW2 not WW1!
Comes out at retail this week.
Ah interesting! It’d be interesting to see how many retail copies sell compared to digital on a franchise like HoI.
Any word on SUPERHOT for Xbone for au?
Yeah still waiting on this myself. Haven’t heard any confirmation from the devs yet.
What gets me is – the reason cited (and I guess we can count PacMan 256 in this because because despite it being announced for both platforms it’s only listed on PS4) for these omissions is that it costs too much to pay the ACB to rate the game, that’s fair enough but then look at some of the trash that does make it to the Australian Xbox Store…
Who is plunking down Australian dollars for Sparkle 2 or Tiny Troopers Joint Ops or Baseball Riot!!
These games all make it through the classification system yet somehow SuperHot or The Binding if Isaac are unviable?!
A-freakin-men, so much shovelware has been dumped on the storefront lately, stuff I’ve never even heard of, but still no SUPERHOT.
According to a twitter post back when it came out for every other country said they’re still waiting a few weeks on the OFLC to approve it. That was back in early May, all I can find so far is
http://www.classification.gov.au/Pages/View.aspx?sid=yH%2b6VeuVqVZZGFN5mRqlmA%253d%253d&ncdctx=Z%252fThwlms4eVy1VFsTSDAOkno1b7OTnydwUYgs14C29rwYA6ULB%2bWAVb4qUUf9uYE
The name doesn’t check out and there’s no description so the wait continues I guess. I know there is an easier solution and that’s to buy it on PC, but my 5 year old laptop doesn’t like indie games, it can run Portal 2 at console quality no problem, but try to play something like Gone Home and Sunset and the thing just shits the bed.
Typical Serrels, thinks Mighty No. 9 is coming to Vita this week. Just so typical of him/her.
When you and Typical Serrels do a Fusion Dance, do we get Fark Serrels?
No, that’s stupid. We wear the Potara earrings and become Mart Serrels.
I thought that Mighty No. 9 was going to be on 3DS. Oh well no skin off my nose.
