We know the Sega Genesis Mini is small, but I don’t believe we have seen it side-by-side with the original console. That is, until now.
During this week’s Famitsu livestream, the actual hardware was shown off to give a better idea of the machine’s size.
Like other mini consoles, it’s small!
This is obviously the Mega Drive version, and the controller is slightly different.
But as Sega’s Hiroyuki Miyazaki explained during the stream, variations exist among original controllers due to differences between batches.

One response to “The Sega Genesis Mini, A Size Comparison”
Since we’ll be getting the Mega Drive Mini rather than the Genesis Mini, hopefully that also means we’ll get the 6 button controller and not the 3 button controller the Genesis Mini will get.
I read a report somewhere that this will play original cartridges too but looking at the size difference of that cartridge slot that’s a bit hard to believe.
