There are some clear Portal overtones here, as an erratic AI addresses you from the opening screen. But there are no portal guns, just a grappling hook.
In Give Up, Robot, you undertake a series of single-screen tests designed to measure your grappling skills. Some will have you swinging across chasms, others have you using rotating hooks to slingshot yourself across the screen.
Die – and trust me, you will, often – and those Portal touches reappear as the AI offers encouragement – “You’re the best, Robot!” – and even affection – “I love you, Robot!”
