Why These Video Game Shoes Might Be A Good Purchase

Even if the design of the actual shoe isn’t to your liking, the Converse x Nintendo limited edition sneakers released for Mario’s (belated) 25th anniversary have one thing going for them: a great box.

OK, so a box for sneakers may not be as useful as, well, most things, but it’s a very nice box. There are Mario levels all over it, and Converse’s trademark star logo has even been swapped out for one of Mario’s own.

They’ll be out in Japan in July, and while there’s no word on price, come on. These are exclusive Mario sneakers released only in Japan. They won’t be cheap.
