I Was Working On My Own Anti-Arrow-to-the-Knee Vid Too, But Then I …

YouTube’s PsychicPebbles is extremely sick and tired of Skyrim‘s “arrow to the knee” meme, and composed this salute to all who dared to ever think it was funny. It’s extremely loud (especially when it breaks in with FUS RO DAH) and it’s extremely profane — in fact, I recommend turning your speakers down to one tick above mute. But for those sick to death of over-flogged played-out jokes, it is oh, so satisfying.

I used to type normal sentences uninfluenced by memes, but then I… oh wait I still do.

Personally, I never really found it funny. When I first heard it in game, I actually felt sympathy for the poor guard. To be honest, I found “Hail summoner! Conjure me up a warm bed, would you?” a lot funnier!

I used to try think up of witty ways to try say that I hated ‘arrow in the knee’ jokes but then I realized in doing so I would only be contributing to the overall meme, so I went back in time to delete this comment but encountered a paradox, if I had deleted this comment in the future then I would have never wrote about deleting the comment in the first place.

We really need an edit button. This comment isn’t near as amusing as it could have been.

Not that I feel any less inclined to evicerate anyone who perpetuates what is the most obnoxious meme we’ve had in quite a while, I’d just prefer to do it in a wittier fashion.

I find it interesting that we can, as a culture, discover a joke, have fun with it, and then run it into the ground in a matter of weeks.

People don’t seem to understand that this meme needs to die horribly. It’s worse than frigging bronies. No, you can’t even use it “ironically” or in a self-aware meta-meme sense. That doesn’t show your intelligence, it just means your a wordier version of the other “shit-smeared mongoloids.”

I don’t know where all the hate for this meme comes from. I think many people are just jumping on the bandwagon.

I used to be on the bandwagon but then I became an adventurer.

IF KNEE + ARROW = FALSE
    THEN ADVENTURER = TRUE
    ELSE ADVENTURER = FALSE

..Nope, not funny. This joke is dead.
