As long rumoured, the GOTY edition of the Dark Knight’s latest adventure will feature all-new story-based content focusing on Harley Quinn, the homicidal clown-girl that keeps the Joker warm at night.
It comes with all of the previous DLC — which focused on new challenge maps, alternate outfits and playable outfits — and also includes a download code for the Batman: Year One animated movie. Once again, those of you who waited get a pretty good deal for presumably the same price as the original release. Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition comes out on May 29.
Some more information cause this article is somewhat lacking: You'll be able to buy Harley Quinn's Revenge on May 30 from Xbox Live/PSN for 800MS points/$9.99. The DLC adds another 2 hours of gameplay to the campaign, and you get to play as Robin too. The GOTY Edition is coming out on May 29 in the US, as this articles states, but doesn't come out in Europe/Australia until September. Also, the European/Australian version may not be getting the Batman: Year One movie download code. There are no mentions of a PC version of the GOTY or Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC :(
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the Wii U version of the game is the GOTY version too.

It seems that the collectors editions are the worst deals and people are better off waiting until 9 months after games are released.
The DLC shenanigans are getting silly.
Why wait 9 months, Batman AC has been like $20-30 via import for a couple of months.Or even better yet I got it on release via gigital download for pc for $33.Even if you just stay 3 months behind the market you can easily halve your gaming expenditure or even 3 weeks if you import.
From one point of view, sure. From the other - we've been able to play the game for the last 9 months. Haven't lost anything there.
Personally, I'm happy to grab the new story DLC. Extra challenge maps aren't my thing.
So, for $10 bucks we get two hours of content...and that's it for Arkham City, no more DLC packs?
....that's lame, they could have done more with it.
I will pick this up, much like I picked up Arkham Asylum GOTY before it, despite having brought their respective collectors editions on day one. Why? So I can have an ACTUAL damm DVD case to sit in my collection, as opposed to the crappy skinny cardboard thing we got for the AA CE, and the "we've-just-slapped-the-game-in-the-back-of-the-tiny-art-book" approach that AC CE took.
Addendum: Also, if it has seperate acheivements again. More gamerscore, baby!
Given the little easter egg at the end of the game for the observant player, I think I might be a little reluctant to fight it out with Harley now.
